We are whole. My work shows me that.

In a life full of uncertainty, change and discomfort as well as joy, lightness and connection, my practice seeks to reflect where we are at ease with this knowing and where we resist it. To embrace the discomfort as much as the joy. To tune in with nature and ultimately come to the awareness that we are whole, dancing with it all.

Through a personal practice of drawing, writing, breathwork, meditation and bodywork I explore and experience the interwoven perception of self and other. Over time i have seen that they show us how we can transcend the limitations of you and me, good or bad, us and that, and rather embrace the totality of it all.

Spending time in and as a part of nature, my drawings are a meditation on the relationship between myself and the seemingly other. I gather debris from plants and trees which i then use to create natural inks. The process in itself informs the images that appear. As with all my work, this in turn informs my teaching. Moment to moment I let go of the outcome. In not knowing what colours or forms will appear I close my eyes and allow it to land on the paper.
