Public Workshops

Beginning with gentle movement, meditation and breath work, participants are then led into a series of dynamic drawing exercises. These practices invite a connection to the present self and cultivate space for a deep, collective state of flow.

From a safe, embodied, place we watch what unfolds. We both witness what is arising whilst recognising that we are the co-creators of our reality. Transformation occurs once we accept and love what is. Freedom and growth opens up to us when we work from a place of wholeness. Excluding nothing and including everything.

We work with the visual form through a series of playful and freeing drawing exercises. We lay emphasis on our connection to the changing seasons exploring specific themes through body and breath led practices. Focusing on the process of moving ink around the paper we blur the lines between representation and abstraction, paying attention to the feeling in our body and the connection to our breath as opposed to the outcome of the image.

Workshops are delivered both online and in person. No experience of drawing or meditation is needed.

  • "I don't know if I would have survived the pandemic coupled with taking care of a newborn as well as I did had it not been for Laurie's weekly drawing sessions. Apart from being my ultimate self care activity, Laurie's workshops, or spiritual guidance even, have reignited my desire to connect with myself as an artist as well as a creative and spiritual being."

  • "Working with Laurie was a dream. Her capacity to hold a creative and fluid space with such care and generosity is a true gift. I really enjoyed Laurie's group workshop programme, curated as an arc experience, each one focussing on a different theme of self and awareness. Laurie uses guided drawing, meditation and movement to find one's own expression and dance! Working with Laurie expect beautiful music and space to ground and come home to the self.”
